Suncast B52 Review by

I have assembled two of these sheds. My father bought the 8x10 version, and I have this 7x7 version.
Both shed went together fairly well. My dad's shed had some discrepancies between the instructions and the parts where the two did not match, but overall things went together well. I didn't experience any discrepancies with my kit.
Having assembled my father's shed first, my wife and I were able to assemble our shed in just over three hours, despite having to spend 30 minutes searching for a hinge piece that one of our dogs had grabbed and hidden in the back yard. I had built a wooden platform ahead of time.
These sheds are an impressive piece of engineering. We assembled our shed in 20 mile per hour winds, and even without the roof in place, the walls flexed, but did not collapse.
I do have two complaints:
1. The handles and area for the padlock are plastic. It would be a trivial task to cut the plastic to bypass the padlock. I reinforced mine with steel washers, but that still doesn't offer much protection. If someone really wanted in, ripping the doors open wouldn't be difficult.
2. There are many holes in the shed for airflow that will make very attractive nesting areas for bees, wasps, etc. These should have been covered with screen. I plan to do it, but because of the shapes of the areas, it won't be easy.
I'd still recommend the shed, but if you need more security, one of the other manufacturers claims to have steel reinforced doors.

so thin 1/8" thick walls, anyone can damgage it in no time. door warp badly as sun heated up. false advertise that wall is over 1" thick but is only at the wall joints. The shovel accidently fell on one side of the wall and the the wall shred off a section. My neighbor have the plastic sheds and they all have around 1.5 to 2 inch thick walls all around. Materials inside heated up and would damage much quicker since heat absortion is so high 126 degree F. that is rediculous high compare to my old beat up shed only around 92 degree F in the same high heat summer day.
This is a bad design. it is flimpsy and weak. I am worry a winter wind might flew the shed away. That's how bad it is.

I ordered this shed (10x12.5)from Amazon because the price was so good. I read many of the reviews and those that discuss the thin wall material are true. There is reinforcement, but you will not be able to hang much weight from the side walls. I figure on using shelving and stacking containers. Being in Florida, my biggest concern is wind. I know this shed will not withstand any type of tropical system. I am not even sure if it will withstand a severe thunderstorm?
Shipping was exactly as described and convenient. You receive four large boxes. One of them contains most of the heavy parts. I am not sure why they did not distribute parts to other boxes? I have an industrial size hand truck and was able to roll the boxes to the back of the house. The tires on the dolly were nearly flat with the weight of the one box. I figure most will need to open the boxes and carry parts to the construction site.
Construction- I used the online copy of the instructions and built a wooden floor for the shed as described. Ran me another $400 in materials for that. The floor took me about a day and a half to complete. I built it the weekend before the shed was delivered. The following weekend we built the shed. First, you definitely need to unload all the boxes first. The parts are scattered across all the boxes and although they are numbered, it does not represent the order of contruction. I will complement the numbering of the parts on each piece. It made it much easier to identify. For us, it ended up taking 5 people 5 1/2 hours to build. Two can do it, but there is no way a single person can do this. Due the thin plastic walls and roof, the pieces were warped. It required one person pushing pieces together while another held the opening all the way open. If the panels would of gone straight together, I am sure we could of completed in 4 hours or so.
The shed is very nice looking. If you want something that can be secured, this is not it. As mentioned in other reviews, I could knock down a door or side wall without a lot of force. Given the warping of the panels on delivery, I do not have much hope this shed will last too many years. The sun is going to warp and distort the shed for sure. If I get 5 years I will be surprised, but my next shed will not be plastic, I will go with wood.
By the way, the price went up $650 in the two week period from when I bought the shed to when I am writing this review. As I said I got a great price from Amazon when I purchased it. I would not of paid what they are asking now for the shed.
